When your shipment arrives at your destination, we'll make sure that your boxes and furniture get placed in the rooms where you'd like them to go. Throughout the process, we'll do whatever we can to alleviate any of the stress you might be feeling.
The Pas is located in the Northern Region of Manitoba, and it's a commercial center that attracts many visitors from the more remote communities in the area. Before the European settlers came, the land was inhabited by the Cree people, who took advantage of the natural resources provided by the rivers crossing the area, surrounding prairies, and many local lakes. The name "Le Pas" comes from the Pasquia River, which along with the Saskatchewan River, served as a vital transportation route. In 1912, The Pas was incorporated as a Canadian town.
Today, a little over 5,000 people live in The Pas, with most of them having some Aboriginal or First Nation ancestry. Visiting the Clearwater Lake Provincial Park, located in the northwest of town, is a popular activity where you can hike, boat, fish and swim either for the day or as part of a camping trip. Anyone wanting to stay in town can spend some time at the stores and restaurants along Highway 10 or check out the Sam Waller Museum. The museum is housed in the former courthouse, and you can see well-preserved artifacts from the native tribes, the first settlers and the trappers who played a major role in the growth of The Pas.
Allied Van Lines can be there for you if you're preparing to move. We're dedicated to assisting our clients, and we welcome the opportunity to partner with you. Call us today to set up your free quote, find out more about our services or to schedule your service.
