Household Moving Coverage - Replacement Value Protection
RVP is the most comprehensive protection plan in the industry, offering you an unmatched peace of mind when entrusting your belongings to a household moving company . RVP covers the cost to repair or replace (whichever is less) any household item that is lost, damaged or destroyed.
Coverage of Pairs/Sets during Household Moving
RVP coverage extends to matched sets and pairs such as lamps, candlesticks or end tables. If you choose RVP and your damaged item can't be repaired to its original condition, we will provide you like kind and quality replacement compensation.*
*Complete replacement of multiple item sets of china, gold and silver flatware, and crystal glassware are excluded from pairs and sets protection under the RVP Plan.
Extra Care for Your Valuables
If you have high-value items (defined as items valued at $100 per pound or higher), please let us know and we can help you prepare a High Value Inventory Form. You must present the High Value Inventory Form to your Personal Relocation Consultant and/or your driver prior to packing your household goods so that we can be sure your shipment has the correct level of RVP coverage.
Household Moving Coverage - Released Liability Protection
You can opt for Released Liability Protection for your move, offering you limited coverage to a maximum of $0.60 per pound, per article, in the event of damage or loss. Released Liability Protection is free and no cost to you during the move; however, one size does not fit all. The level of protection you require may be higher than the minimum levels based on your total shipment weight. Though Released Liability Protection is free of charge, you still must confirm this level of coverage in writing.
